Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use idovite (idovite.com) to design invitations and save the dates, send them to guests, collect replies, or collect addresses. By creating an account or publishing an invitation or address link, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.

Your account

You need an account to send invitations or publish an address link. You must be at least 16 and give a real email address that you can confirm. Keep your sign-in details safe, because you are responsible for what happens in your account. You can delete your account at any time from Your data in your account.

Your content and your guests

You own what you create: your invitation text, photos and guest list. You let us store, display and send it only so that idovite can work, for example to show your invitation to the guests you send it to. Don't put anything on your pages that you don't have the right to use, such as photos or music owned by someone else.

Only invite and collect information from people you actually know, for your own event. You are responsible for having a reason to send each guest their link, and for what you ask them. Guests' replies and addresses are for planning your event, so don't use them for marketing, resell them, or share them beyond what your event needs.

What you may not do

Don't use idovite to send spam or to message people who did not expect to hear from you. Don't use invitation or address pages to impersonate someone, or to trick people into giving personal, financial or login details (phishing). Don't publish illegal, hateful, harassing or sexually explicit content. And don't try to break, overload or scrape the service, get around its limits or security, or reach another account's data.

We may remove content, stop links from working, or suspend accounts that break these rules, and we may report illegal activity.

Plans and payments

Designing, the address collection tool, and inviting up to 5 households per wedding are free. Inviting more households needs a paid plan for that wedding. You pay once per wedding, with no subscription, and if you move to a larger plan later you pay only the difference. Prices are shown in US dollars before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe, and taxes are added where the law requires.

You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of a payment, as long as you have not yet shared links with more households than the wedding's previous plan allowed. If your wedding is cancelled or postponed, or something else is not right, contact us and we will work it out with you. If you upgraded a wedding more than once, refunds go from the most recent payment back: to refund an earlier payment, the later ones for that wedding are refunded with it. To ask for a refund, email us from the address on your account.

After a refund or a reversed payment, the wedding returns to the plan it had before. We never delete your guests or replies because of this. Links you have already sent keep working, but you cannot add or send to more households than that plan allows.

Availability and changes

We work to keep idovite running and your data safe, but we provide the service "as is" and cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. Keep your own copy of anything important; you can export your guest list and address lists at any time. We may change or stop features; if we stop a paid feature you have bought for an upcoming wedding, we will offer a fair refund.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, idovite is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as a missed reply or a lost address, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under the laws of your country.

Governing law

idovite is operated by a company registered in the United States. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where that company is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you live outside the United States, you keep any consumer protections that the law of your country gives you and that cannot be waived by agreement.

Ending

You can stop using idovite and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. When an account is deleted, its weddings, guest lists and address lists are deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and tell account holders by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use idovite after that means you accept the new terms.
